Final table read...Check!

On Saturday the 25th we had our final table read in the basement of First Baptist Church across from the state capitol. It's important to get the work out of your head and hear how professional actors read the parts. It wasn't all work though, we had a lot of fun too, which is always a good sign of things to come!

Six main roles and eight extras:

Female:
Dawn: Cursed to fall in love with mortal men
Aprodite: Goddess of beauty, love, pleasure

Male:
Ares: God of war, battle hardened and manly
Sisyphus: An opportunistic politician, too clever for his own good
Zeus: King of the gods, maintains all order
Thantos: God of death, Zeus’ trusted companion

Extras include: citizens, workers, Spartans, handmaidens, etc.

Note: Rehearsals start in April.

Final Sisyphus logo options

Here are the two finalists for the Sisyphus logo. After the last round we ask the designer if we could see a version with a ribbon instead of beads. It seems like red works better with the ribbon and yellow for the beads, but at the end of the day, we need to select one logo over the other and we'd appreciate your feedback!

Here's another Sisyphus identity design we are exploring. We liked the fire goblet concept from the last go round, but there really wasn't a good correlation to the story so we decided to explore an idea with the hour glass pendant in the title since it holds the sands of time...more to come

Preliminary Identity Concepts

Here are some preliminary design concepts for the branding of TAOS. It'll take some time to digest them and decide which elements to keep and/or expand on. I like the bold/rough font, the black, white & red color palette and the fire goblet, but we should probably find an element or object from the story to use in the graphic. I spoke with the designer and she agreed to come up with a design that uses an hour glass/pendant to represent the sands of time.
